Arrival
Most independent travellers arrive in Ed-Dahar at the bus station on the southern edge of the downtown area, though coming by Superjet or El Gouna buses, you'll arrive at their terminals about 1km further south along Tariq El-Nasr. If you arrive at the Superjet terminal and you're planning to stay in Ed-Dahar, you might want to hop into one of the ubiquitous white minivans (£E1) that ply Tariq El-Nasr. Service taxis from the Nile Valley wind up at the taxi station on Tariq El-Nasr, near the Police Station.
People arriving by boat from Sinai will disembark at the harbour in Sigala, whence you could walk to several mid-range places or catch a minivan (£E1) or taxi (£E10) to the centre of Ed-Dahar. Most package tourists who fly into the airport off the Hurghada– Safaga road are whisked to their resorts in buses; a taxi into Ed-Dahar will cost £E20–30.
