Another window on the underwater world can be seen from on board Aquascope, a sort of space-age glass-bottomed boat. The two-hour trip leaves from the Hor Palace Hotel ( 065/346-3657) near the tourist office in New Hurghada and includes a fifty-minute tour of the coral reefs. A more traditional glass-bottomed boat experience can be had from most of the hotels for around £E40 per hour.
