The Canal Zone

Arrival

The main point of arrival is the bus station, which is on the outskirts of Port Said just off the main road from Ismailiya, from where you can catch a taxi (£E5) downtown. Orientation is straightforward, as most things of interest or use to tourists can be found on three thoroughfares: the waterfront Sharia Filastin; Sharia el-Gumhorriya, two blocks inland; or Sharia 23rd July.
