    The impressive Alexandria National Museum, at no. 110 near the corner of Midan Khartoum, occupies an Italianate mansion once owned by a wood merchant, Assad Basily. The museum displays some of the amazing archeological finds made in and around the city during the past decade. Artfully lit and with English labelling, the museum also has an impressive art and history bookshop.
