www.alexandra-dive.com Alexandra Dive can usually forecast conditions for the next 24 hours, and offers diving for a minimum of three people at two sites for €80 each (including lunch and the fee to the Underwater Archeology Department; equipment costs extra). As the Pharos and Cleopatra's palace are only 5–8m underwater, even uncertified divers may be accepted if they can pass a try-out and stick close to their "dive buddy" (Mahmoud is the guy to get) – though open-water diving courses (€250) are available. They can even arrange underwater weddings at Cleopatra's palace, while in summer, their dive centre at Almaza Bay offers World War II wreck-diving. It's worth contacting them in advance to discuss the feasibility of specific sites, as some require a permit that takes several days to obtain.
