Poznan or Wroclaw?

I’m looking at a weekend break in April – probably three days – to either Poznan or Wroclaw. Does anyone have any thoughts on which would be the better choice for a weekend break? And any recommendations for either city?

Wroclaw is my favourite of the two (although last time I was there I was on a stag do, so I’ll need to wait a while before I’m allowed to return). Auschwitz isn’t too far away of course, but within Wroclaw I can recommend both the old town and Cathedral Island. None of the museums are that great I think – it’s more about soaking the place up.

I’ve not visited either properly (unless travelling through Poznan on a coach in the dead of night counts…) but I’ve heard lots of good things about Wroclaw.

Both cites are great. beautifull Poznan has more of a students vibes, Wrocław centre is absolutely charming.
Auchwitz is kind of far away for Wrocław but you can have a day tour there ( about 11 hrs for the all trip)
In conclusion to flip coin seems to be the best way to go about it!!!
