kayak-tour in Marocco april 2013
Hi; Is there anyone, who can give me some information about the water-levels and the dangering aspects in relation to a kayak-trip (inflatable canoe) on the rivers dades, draa, ahansel and melloul ? I had heard some things different in account of to less water because of to less snowmelt, some other people told me, there are a lot of water and difficulties in the river Melloul (stones, weirs). So i´m not sure, which river I should choose….I have some experiences in white-water, but first and foremost I want to make a relaxed tour without to much sports….Thanx forward
The safest way to take an inflatable kayak downriver in Morocco is to go on an organised trip. Morocco Rafting specialise in rafting trips and offer a 3-day inflatable kayaking trip down the Ahansel River (www.rafting.ma/whitewater-rafting-in-...). They may also be able to advise you on water levels this time of year and safety regulations regarding the Dades, Draa and Melloul.
Have a fantastic time!
