Has Cattolica changed at all?
We visited Cattolica almost ten years ago and we’re thinking of returning, this time with a baby. Would I notice much difference ten years on? Does it still have the charm of a seaside town not overrun with international tourists?
Not wanting to be too gloomy, but nowhere within a short distance of Rimini is unspoiled by tourism nowadays – it might be a good idea to investigate the resorts further south on this coast. The beaches of Puglia have in recent years become extremely popular, but they are still less busy than the Rimini region. Better still, take a look at the resorts of Le Marche, in particular those of the Monte Conero area. Places such as Numana, Sirolo and Portonovo are popular with Italians, especially those of inland Marche, but they are not overrun with international tourists.
