Budapest is cheap! I was there last spring and it is a bargain compared to the rest of Europe and the quality is wonderful. Bread, sausage, cheese, wine very reasonable!!! Enjoy the city!!!!!

Kanika I suggest you go to Eger to see the real Hungary. Great castle, cathedral, and town square. In the evening music is everywhere. The Valley of the Woman is close by and a great place for Hungarian wine. You can catch the tram near the main square and I think it was a few euro’s round-trip. Small city and there is a really great vegetarian there, but I can’t remember he name???? Budapest a great fun and so much to see, but think you discover the real Hungary when you venture to the small towns. Enjoy the Budapest vibe, what has been called the “Paris of Eastern Europe” with the cafe scene. So alive!!!!!!
