You are planning a great trip. There are plenty of tours to the vinyards near Bordeaux, so no problem at all and you can book through your hotel. As for restaurants, there are so many and most are fantastic! Was there last spring and I think I added an ince to my waist. Wine is cheaper than water, did not have a bad bottle, and the restaurants were perfect with great, crisp French service. Sorry I can’t remember the names of the restaurant’s, but I think I drank to much wine. By all means don’t eat Asian there as we did, as my companions were Asian and needed a fix. One stop was enough to cure them of that need.
