Antwerp and Amsterdam

Off to Antwerp and then Amsterdam for a few days next week. Does anyone have any suggestions for alternative things to do in either city – and for good bars and restaurants? Also for any good stops in between, since we’ll be going by van (I was thinking Leiden perhaps).

Wynand Fockink is a must visit seventeenth-century tasting room in Amsterdam!! It’s pretty central (on the edge of the red light district) and they have a menu with hundreds of gins and liqueurs. I think that they do a behind the scenes tour of the distillery on a Saturday lunchtime. Check out the website:
