Activities in / around San Francisco & New York
Some friends of mine will be honeymooning in San Francisco and New York in a week or so. As part of their present, I want to get them some kind of fun day-trip or activity in or around either city. They’ve already booked surf lessons, a wine tour and a horseriding trip near SF, so can’t get them any of those… Any other ideas welcome!
Well, it looks like San Francisco is covered, so I had some suggestions for New York.
www.sail-nyc.com/ is a website that offers cruises on the Hudson. Tons of options for romance with views of the skyline and champagne!
If they’re taking surf lessons, maybe they’d be down for a morning at the trapeze school. newyork.trapezeschool.com/
They could try their hand at a pottery class mudsweat-tears.com/about-mud-sweat-an...
The Fragrance Shop of New York allows you to create your own perfume. www.fragranceshopnewyork.com/
I’ve heard great things about the McKittrick Hotel Mystery play where you put on a mask and walk through the scenes. www.sleepnomorenyc.com/
There are also tons of pizza schools in New York that would make for a fun date night.
Tried to think of some unique stuff. You could google “unique date ideas nyc” and see what pops up.
Hope this helps! – Laura
How fun! I lived in San Francisco for about three years and it’s such a fantastic city to visit.
One of San Francisco’s main assets is its delicious food. There are a lot of companies that do a dinner cruise around the Bay at sunset, but another great option is a foodie tour with several stops (www.gourmetwalks.com is one suggestion, but there are many others).
SF also has a rich art scene and plenty of exhibitions travel through town– museums like the Legion of Honor, MoMA, and the de Young are where the bigger exhibitions would typically go.
Blazing Saddles (www.blazingsaddles.com/san-francisco....) is one of the more popular bike rental companies in the city, and they do guided tours that take you through the SF’s colourful and unique neighbourhoods and over the Golden Gate Bridge, which is really enjoyable.
I know this is a bit late, but hopefully helpful!
