Stata Center
The Stata Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts – home to part of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology – is the $200-million work of architect Frank Gehry. With its dizzying angles and clashing materials, it is an appropriately off-the-wall design for this laidback, arty city. The whole is intended to be a metaphor for the minds of the researchers within: creative, innovative – and far from square.
