Estacao do Oriente
Parque das Nações in Lisbon is the former Expo 98 site and remains a huge attraction for Lisboans, who visit en masse at weekends. The crowning centrepiece of the park is the Estação do Oriente, a stunning glass-and-concrete transport interchange designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava. Like much of Calatrava's architecture, inspired by the natural world, the wave-like forms allude to the nearby sea.
