Appearing Rooms
This popular art installation was created by Danish artist Jeppe Hein, whose artistic resume usually consists of a mixture of sculpture, architecture and technology. The installation features jets of water that constantly change to create different “rooms”, hence the name. The fountain was originally commissioned for the garden of the Vills Manin in Italy, but ultimately ended up in England. Due to the tendency of Appearing Rooms to soak its viewers it is only on display during the summer months.
