The cathedral

Just beyond the Council Tower, on Piața Huet, the Evangelical Cathedral is a massive hall-church raised during the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries. Climb the tower, or descend to the crypt, which contains impressive tombstones of local notables as well as of Mihnea the Bad, the Impaler’s son, stabbed to death outside here in 1510.
