West side – Saturday’s Portobello Market is great for brunch and then browsing the market stalls for a bargain. Brilliant vide and atmosphere that you can’t beat!

West. Why? Well first off I don’t think it’s AS posh and commercial as it’s rumored to be. I’ve found some areas to have a ‘real’ feel — it’s quite nuanced and I think there’s something to be said for the diversity you can find there — Portobello, Notting Hill, Covent, to name a few. Just more fun and refined!

Definitely the West… where trendy Sloane Rangers can still be seen strutting the King’s Road. And you can find quirky museums: e.g. the Museum of Brands ( a treasure trove of retro design and memories, just off the iconic Portobello Market). Where leafy squares & gardens abound… like the intriguing Chelsea Physic Garden, hidden behind walls just off the Embankment… rubbing shoulders with Cheyne Walk, where Blue Plaques appear to adorn every dwelling – many of the great and innovative poets, artists and writers of the time met at number 16! And there’s so much more. Hope I have whet your appetite for a visit?

Definitely the East side. The Thames river path is fantastic for walking and you can nip off the path and spend time in really eclectic areas of London without walking miles. One of my favourite day out is getting the Thames boats across to Greenwich and mooching around Greenwich market.

West London for me as I love nothing more trailing through Camden market to unearth hidden treasures. Last time I came home with a fab Tshirt saying “I can multi-task, I can talk and piss you off at the same time” There is always so many things to find there – usually don’t like shopping but in Camden I can stay all day. The different food stalls are brilliant too.
