What are your best cheap eats in London?

I swear by Kati Roll Company in Oxford Circus (but keep that quiet – we don’t want it getting too busy). What other cheap eats do you recommend? (By cheap, I mean less than £10 per head.)

Tayyabs in Whitechapel gets mentioned a lot on cheap eats lists, but with good reason. The service might leave a bit to be desired, but the lamb chops are delicious and it’s BYO.

Otherwise I’d recommend Patty & Bun nr Bond Street for burgers and the inventive baked potatoes at Spud in Covent Garden.

Ah, yes, I grew up in Stepney Green so Tayyabs has long been a favourite. (I agree on the service though!)

I’ll have to try Patty & Bun next time I’m in Bond Street. Thanks for the recommendation.

Bodean’s BBQ is great! A full meal for under £10 with the best pulled pork! There’s at least 4 in London, Soho is the most central.
