We are going to stay 4 Nights in Alleppey, Kerala.
Advise us places to visit and things to do during our stay.
If you are in Allepey you have to take a Backwaters trip, It is beautiful and so relaxing, we have taken four trips so far with various companies and they range from top end boutique style to quite basic and rough at the edges.
The best we have had was with Bay Pride, they were really great, food was excellent and the staff were lovely, plus it was spotlessly clean and the electrics were good, we did have one experience where the electricity board which happened to be n our cabin was glowing red and about to burst into flames! Basically as with all things in life you get what you pay for, but if you shop around whilst there you will find a great deal.
There are also some lovely guesthouses and retreats close by and a great beach which is quiet and often overlooked by visitors who come and go to the boat trips.
There is also the local ferry boat which runs from Allepey down the coast and takes about 8 hours stopping for lunch on the way, that is a good way to get a first impression of the backwaters if you don’t want to stay on board overnight.
If you are planning a trip to Kerela then Alleppey is a good choice to include in your trip. You can visit many places like the backwaters, Mata Amritanandamayi Mission, Marai Beach. You can take a houseboat on rent and discover the beauty of the region in the best way. For more suggestions you can visit http://www.justorbit.com/asia/india/alleppey-45394/things_todo/ .
Couple of must-do’s in Alleppey:

#1 is the main attraction. Alleppey is perfect for a do-nothing vacation spent floating about the calm waters.
