I am staying in Marrakech literally for 24 hours at the start of July. Solo male looking for a decent quality Riad in the heart of the city. What should I see and do in such a short time?

A must do in Marrakech has to be the city’s main square Jemaa el Fna (full of vibrant stalls selling amazing street food and packed with all sorts of life from snake charmers to musicians and story tellers) and the souks around it, which sell everything from leather goods and slippers to rugs and ironworks. In July it will be really hot so take it easy in the middle of the day, instead aim to go to Jemaa el Fna and the souks early in the morning just as things are getting going, or head back to the square for the evening, which looks magical as dusk falls.
For places to eat/drink I would recommend:
Terrasse des Epices is a great lunch spot which puts a modern spin on Moroccan dishes and has a rooftops with lovely views across the rooftops.
Cafe Arabe is a good evening choice for its gorgeous roof terrace and great cocktails.
If you fancy trying Fassi cuisine head to Al Fassia in Guéliz.
Hope that helps, have a fantastic trip!
