Looking to travel South America

Hi all, i am looking travel South America next summer and just at the beginning of setting out my travel plans, alot of it will be taking it as it comes with no strict dates to go by, but i am wondering if you guys can point me in the best direction of which countries to visit and in which order i should visit the countries, any comments will be greatful, even just to fill me in with your past experiences with south america (good and bad). any information is good information, im very interested with what others have done and just hoping to see as much as i can and cover as much as i can when i come to do so… Many thanks, i look forward to hearing what you have to say.
