Could anyone recommend London pubs that regularly host gigs? I’m thinking of smallish pubs with a stage upstairs or at the back.

The Slaughtered Lamb (http://www.theslaughteredlambpub.com/) in Clerkenwell has regular live music events in its downstairs room – a great intimate venue complete with a small stage. Upstairs there’s a good selection of beers and real ales, and the fish finger sandwich is spot-on if you’re feeling peckish!
The Glad (http://www.thegladpub.com/), tucked down an alley behind Borough tube, is fab. There’s just a tiny ‘stage’ area in the downstairs bar, so it’s pretty intimate. Free, too, and always packed.
