Best road atlas for driving in Europe?

Does anyone have any suggestions of a good road atlas for driving in Europe? I have a Collins ‘Discovering Britain Road Atlas and Guide’ which we have been using in the UK which is awesome with a lot of attractions marked and explainations of them all in the front. I’d like to find something similar as attractions in other languages aren’t always self explainatory and it saves a lot of driving going to check things out that you have seen a sign for only to get there and find a run down windmill or something. Although it can be good when you discover something awesome out of the blue!

It really depends which countries you’re heading to as to which is best. eg Michelin for France, Freytag-Berndt for Germany and so on. Have a browse on the Stanfords website (usually has the best range) and pay close attention to the different scales on offer:
