I am looking for a trip that is food-centric to Japan. I will be travelling by myself and want to sightsee as well as sampling the culinary delights of Japan. Has anyone got any tips or advice for me? Are there any tours worth going with? Thanks in advance.

On every trip I always visit the local food markets and sample as much of the cuisine as I can. This is because every item sold at the market is a mirror of the culture and society I am visiting. Each has its own history and story related to the culture, the society and the region. Also, being surrounded by local people at markets and watching them chatting with vendors make me feel like I am the part of the community. Japan Food festival is very famous across the world and along with this you can go to different cities of japan too.
