For a century, Paris has been the Hollywood’s go-to city for a dose of foreign intrigue & Old World charm, while European filmmakers have embraced it with a passion to leave the rest of us swooning. A byword for European sophistication, café culture & romantic escape, the City of Light offers iconic landmarks, Grands Boulevards and the placid Seine slinking through its heart, creating beautiful backdrops & unforgettable cameos in scores of films.

We’ve plotted our picks from across the celluloid spectrum (plus a few that we simply couldn’t leave out). Tell us what you think, whether you agree with our choices, what we’ve missed and why we should add your favourite slice of Paris on the big screen.

Spoiler alert: some of these clips, embedded through Thinglink, contain scenes near the end of the film…

La Haine might bring the mood down but is a worthwhile inclusion. Good to see Team America on there!

How about adding Ratatouille, Moulin Rouge, Da Vinci Code & Hugo?
